Keesing-Styles examines the potential synergies or difficulties that arise from an analysis of the ‘education for uncertainty’ literature and the goals of education for social justice. Does education for being provide greater possibilities for the enhancement of social justice? She argues that focusing on the acquisition of knowledge alone can no longer serve as a foundation for social justice education. Educators should consider restructuring curriculum and pedagogy so that pragmatic and experiential learning is incorporated.
