Abstract

This article discusses the importance of training when dealing with technology and student disabilities in business education.  The researchers administered a survey to business educators to determine how they were implementing converging initiatives of technology in their programs.  The findings indicated that business educators received inadequate training and felt under prepared to teach students with disabilities.  Efficient training in the use of technology and assistive technology is critical to creating an inclusive classroom.  Although this study utilizes educators in the K-12 division, the implications can be extended to educators in higher education.
