Abstract

This publication focuses on the use of English as a global language within business communication education in universities.  Briguglio's discourse is positioned at the center of multiple intersections, drawing on research from three fields: intercultural communication, business communication, and internationalization of higher education.  The author analyzes and questions the lack of engagement with existing cultural diversity in the classrooms.  She concludes by offering a variety of pedagogical strategies geared towards helping educators develop the cultural and linguistic strengths of their students as means to developing a larger cultural competence within business education.
